Kalevala-kehto

Design+Build

Catholic University: 2010

Prof. Travis Price, FAIA

The Kalevalakehto was designed in collaboration with classmates at the Finnish embassy in Washington DC. The retreat folly evokes the poetry of the Kalevala, the Finnish national epic. Together my classmates and I participated in the construction process for two weeks in Helsinki, Finland. The projects completion kicked off Helsinki design week 2010 and in 2011 it was honored the AIA DC Award of Merit.
